New students at the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy can access several updated courses that use a unique hybrid learning structure, which provides full certification in MedSpa procedures, without requiring students to attend traditional classes.

While these new courses still cover the full range of information and skills required to work in a MedSpa, they use a combination of online and offline learning to make the certification process more efficient. Students can complete the majority of their coursework online, from anywhere with an internet connection, before they begin the practical training portion of the program.

Using the Basic training program, students can become fully certified and ready to begin a new MedSpa career in as little as eight weeks, with only one week of in-person learning required. The practical training portion of the class can be scheduled at any Dermysk location across Canada, at the student’s convenience.

During this practical training, students will work closely with Dermysk aesthetics specialists to gain real-world experience with MedSpa tools, clients, and procedures. At the end of the practical training, graduates will receive their certification to perform up to a dozen popular techniques, such as laser pigmentation treatments, and will be ready to begin working in a MedSpa.

While each course focuses primarily on the practical MedSpa procedures, and the underlying science or biology, they also provide information about the MedSpa industry in general. This includes courses on how to deal with clients, what to do in case of complications, and several personalized business strategies that can be used either in a new clinic or in a work-from-home environment.

All graduates will be enrolled in the Dermysk Academy’s after-graduate support program, which helps with finding job placements, career opportunities, and advanced training. Students may also return at any time to learn more complex techniques, using either the Advanced or Master-level MedSpa training courses.
