In the lead up to the new English Premier League season, Tips180 has released an infographic detailing the revenue and wages of 10 of the top clubs in the league in the 2021-2022 season.
The infographic which collates data from each clubs calculated their net worth from their annual revenue and player’s wages. The infographic shows that Manchester United FC have the highest net worth amongst the 10 clubs considered. According to the infographic, Manchester United FC is worth a whooping 3.7B pounds, followed by Liverpool FC and Manchester City FC respectively with a net worth 3.6 billion pounds and 3.4 billion pounds respectively.
Newcastle United FC tops the list of the lowest ranked club when it comes to net worth. With an annual revenue of 179M pounds and wages of 65.7million pounds, its total estimated net worth stands at 296M pounds. Closely following Newscastle is West Ham United FC with a total net worth of 722M pounds.
When it comes to wages, the EPL club with the highest wages is Manchester United FC. Total wages of the club stands at 227 million pounds. Chelsea FC comes in second with total wages of 189 million pounds, while Manchester City FC has an estimated wages of 149 million pounds to take third place.
As for revenue, Manchester City FC earns 613m pounds from royalty, sponsorship and etc. The second club to earn more is Liverpool FC with a revenue of 602 million pounds while Manchester United FC takes third place with a revenue of 583 million pounds.
The oldest clubs remains Manchester United FC, Everton FC, Manchester City FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC ranked in that same order.
Mr Henry, Tips180 head of statistics when interviewed pointed out some interesting fact about the data. He said “If we take only the revenue and wages, we can see that the four most profitable clubs are Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, Manchester United and Arsenal FC respectively”.
