While startup costs vary per industry, Shopify’s research found that small businesses in the US spend about $40,000 in the first year of operation. The company’s research also discovered that 66% of new business owners used their own savings to fund their ventures.
“Our mentors will go over your startup budget with you from top to bottom,” a company spokesperson said. “We’ll show you the best practices for launching a product or an app, and by doing so, you’ll be able to save on costs in the process.”
To receive mentorship from IdeaPros, one can either pitch an idea to the company or enroll in one of its courses. The latter involves taking the company’s flagship Purpose-Driven Entrepreneur course, which comes in three packages. One thing common in all packages is access to an ask-me-anything, or AMA, session with a dedicated business mentor.
The second option involves pitching a business idea to the IdeaPros team. According to the company, it will evaluate the feasibility of the idea, the potential market, and one’s ability as a leader. If the applicant passes the final interview, a formal offer will be issued and the ideator will be paired with a team of mentors who will help him or her prepare for a national launch.
“The people who will be tasked to work with you will have a combined 200 years of experience in launching successful products. They’ve been where you are right now, so they help you avoid mistakes that can needlessly set you back,” the spokesperson said.
IdeaPros was founded by Frederick Cary, a serial entrepreneur and popular business personality, who has attracted a huge following on multiple social media platforms. Aiding him is a team of tech founders and business executives, many of whom have founded or held C-level positions in multi-million dollar companies.
