Safeline Group of Companies Offers a Heights Training Course in Toronto and Ottawa

Concord, Ontario: According to multiple reports, falls from heights are one of Canada’s leading causes of workplace injuries and fatalities. In an effort to reduce these incidents and save lives, the Ministry of Labour introduced height training standards in 2015.

Safeline Group of Companies, a leading workplace safety training and solutions provider, is proud to announce a heights training course. This course fully complies with ministry standards and has received the official approval of the Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).

The working at heights Ontario course aims at equipping trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to work safely at elevated positions. It covers a range of fall protection systems and when to use each. One is the Guardrail System, a stationary system commonly used to protect workers from falls. Trainees also learn about other fall protection methods, such as safety nets, travel restraint systems, fall arrest systems, and fall restricting systems.

In addition to complying with the regulations outlined in subsections 26.3(2) to (8) concerning the course’s content, Safeline Group goes the extra mile to make the classes engaging and meaningful. Furthermore, the course spans approximately 8 hours of active participation. Upon successful completion, the certification remains valid for three years.

Furthermore, Safeline Group of Companies offers additional CPO/WSIB-approved courses. They include a Working at Heights refresher course, emergency first aid, and standard first aid. Similar to the comprehensive Working at Heights full course, the primary goal of these courses is to equip participants with the essential knowledge to enhance their awareness and prevent accidents.

Safeline Group of Companies is committed to providing education that goes beyond established standards. The highly experienced and knowledgeable team employs real-life examples, hands-on demonstrations, best practices and procedures, and visual aids to enhance the learning experience.

The company also provides awareness/information courses – as regulations and health and safety requirements in the construction industry in Canada are constantly changing. To assist workers and companies to keep up with these changes, the company offers a range of courses such as Asbestos Awareness Training and Basics of Supervising. Other programs centered around information include Excavation and Trenching Hazard Awareness, Traffic Control, and Scaffold Hazard Awareness.

The Safeline Group of Companies also provides hands-on courses. They offer a variety of courses to suit individual preferences, including classes for operating bobcats, skids, forklifts, and lifts. Some other courses they offer include power elevated work platform classes, which are the most popular, and courses on the safe use of propane in construction.
