QazaqGaz, Presight to cooperate in digital transformation of gas industry

Kazakhstan, 10th Dec 2023 – Kazakhstan’s National Company QazaqGaz JSC and one of the world leaders in digitalization Presight (G42) signed an agreement on cooperation in the digital transformation of the gas industry. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, and the Chairman of the Board of Presight, Thomas Pramotedham, as part of the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the COP28 World Climate Summit in Dubai.

This strategic move will improve gas metering transparency, enabling more efficient management and reduction of losses in the gas system. Under the agreement, a pilot project to increase the transparency of gas accounting is planned. At the same time, the parties are considering the joint development of a universal billing system for effective interaction between the subscriber and the gas company, a press release from the Kazakh company reads.

Based on the pilot project results, the possibility of scaling solutions for main gas pipelines and distribution networks throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan will be considered. This will improve data quality, minimize the human factor, and ensure more efficient data management, which, in turn, will lead to a significant reduction in losses during gas transportation.

Presight is a publicly traded company and part of G42, a global leader in artificial intelligence. Presight is a leader in AI-powered big data analytics.
