CLAYTON, NC – A former private countryside residence debuted as a luxury wedding and event venue coined Oxbow Estate on October 2nd, with a special guest performance from country rock and soul singer Marcus King.

Situated on 10 acres along the Neuse River, Oxbow Estate is a reimagined wedding and event venue only 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh.

Oxbow Estate’s 8,000-square-foot property features a grand ballroom, dedicated getting-ready suites, indoor/outdoor reception areas, an open-air veranda, and an event lawn under market lights. The venue can host events of up to 700 people on the spacious River View Lawn and offers overnight accommodation. Oxbow’s open vendor policy allows clients to create a truly personalized event.

From intimate gatherings to grand affairs, the property can be booked to fit a myriad of celebrations, corporate events and weddings. “I look forward to the positive impact Oxbow Estate will have on our town and the many memorable events that will take place within its walls,” said Clayton Mayor Jody McLeod.

The venue infuses several design influences, including European-style interiors to equestrian art deco. A thoughtful selection of timeless furniture and decor pieces exude warmth throughout each unique space, making clients and guests feel right at home. Construction of the property’s existing horse stables wraps up in early 2024 and will offer the capacity for indoor receptions.

Oxbow Estate celebrated its grand opening on Saturday with an immersive experience and brand launch party. The evening events included a welcome dinner with opening remarks, followed by an experiential wedding and live performance from country singer and songwriter Marcus King. City officials, local vendors, Raleigh influencers, and venue investors were among those in attendance.

The venue opens to the public for tours beginning this week, with bookings already leading into 2024.
