AL AIN, United Arab Emirates – Kanad (formerly known as Oasis) Hospital was established in 1960 by Drs. Pat and Marian Kennedy at the request of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Physicians from the United States, the Kennedys came to the UAE with the overarching goal of providing loving healthcare to the people of the Gulf region. Kanad Hospital has the privilege of being the first hospital established in the Abu Dhabi Emirate and the first private Al Ain hospital in the Emirate to achieve Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.
