Intqlabs Breakthrough Creates an Alternate to Satellite Based GPS by Measuring Earths Geo Magnetic Readings

Secure location technology that works without satellite coverage

Patent pending technology enables a secure and an ‘always-available’ platform to derive location in air, ground or underwater without dependence on satellites.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates Jan 19, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – Intelligent Quantum Labs (“Intqlabs“) latest advancement in the field of geo-magnetic power profiling is now patent pending (Application 202111049994) and has enabled accurate measurement of the earths magnetic field at any point on the surface, underwater or in air. The novel ability of the invention New Global Navigation Satellite System (NGNSS), to calculate location serves as a major alternative for contemporary GNSS platforms such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS and IRNSS. This invention also ensures that location data is accurate since it is not susceptible to jamming or malicious injection that plagues other GNSS platforms.

Contemporary GNSS platforms operate on publicly listed radio frequencies, without encryption and operate on the principle of ‘User Data Protocol’ which is a zero checksum or handshake stream. This enables easy manipulation of GNSS and may cause widespread disruption of services on commercial and closed terminals without recourse or detection. Contemporary GNSS platforms can also be easily jammed or ‘black-jammed’ by transmitting huge chunks or specially crafted data on the applicable frequency and channel(s). This blocks any satellite receiver (public or secure) and results in a classical ‘Denial of Service’ attack.

NGNSS on the other hand is able to detect when spoofing, jamming or malicious data is injected since it has the ability to create a power profile of incoming signals. Power profiling is employed at the heart of NGNSS that enables it to split the signal into sub-components and identify the transmitter and origin location of each transmission. This provides GNSS with advanced decision-making capabilities to identify each transmission as a static or screaming (dynamic) source. Post identification, NGNSS applies processing and logic to calculate earths noise-free geo-magnetic readings. The signals sub-component(s) also enable NGNSS to identify if the transmission’s origin is from a natural (earths poles) or an artificial source (interference or a jamming device). The novel concepts that are incorporated in NGNSS enable it to derive location without dependence on the constellation of satellites or other ground stations. This provides for a truly independent system free from third party, remote, hardware or software vulnerabilities.

The NGNSS platform may be incorporated within any electronic terminal (static or in motion) to obtain location within a few seconds.
