At JKL Advisors, LLC, services include consulting to medium and large-size corporations, providing consulting to private equity and venture capital organizations, and hosting a podcast, focused on helping leaders learn how to grow their business with people.

Before Jeffrey founded the firm, he served as the Enterprise Vice President of Talent Acquisition at CVS Health, where he served for nearly 8 years. In this role he led teams to hire 100,000-200,000+ retail and healthcare colleagues per year to include executive, university, strategic hiring, high volume, and contingent labor.

Jeffrey has been interviewed on TV, radio, and publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Fortune, and Forbes.

About Jeffrey Lackey

Jeffrey grew up in a rural part of Ohio on a farm. His parents were both Air Force Veterans, and his dad served in both Korea and Vietnam. His dad retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service, and his mom opened up a bookstore in the house they built beside his grandparents home on a 55-acre farm.

The bookstore helped the family to get by and Jeffrey learned a lot from his parents who had lived all over the world and ran this small business, even though they were in an agricultural area of Ohio. While his family faced serious financial and health related challenges, he knew these hardships would bring him the empathy he needed to lead and serve others. His story is one of hope, perseverance, belief, faith, and a desire to lead others in a way that builds them up to more than they even believed they could be. Now Jeffrey has a family with his wife of over 30 years, 4 grown children, a dog and 2 cats. According to Jeffrey, “It has been a full life and I am grateful for it all.”

His position at CVS Health as Enterprise Vice President of Talent Acquisition allowed him to lead teams to hire over 1 million people in 70+ countries across 8 different industries – including healthcare, retail, pharmacy, aerospace, insurance, energy, defense, and communications. The teams were accountable for the end-to-end delivery, marketing, technology, policies, and processes to deliver great candidates and hiring leader experience which helped CVS to grow from a Fortune 12 to a Fortune 4 company in less than 8 years.

Additionally, Jeffrey served as the Group Head of Global Resourcing with Rolls-Royce. During his eight-year tenure, he supported and led the HR Shared Services in North America and the global talent acquisition across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas – enabling critical power systems that powered people on the land, sea, and in the air.

Jeffrey volunteers on the Board of Directors for several non-profits, including serving as the Board Chair for Skills for Rhode Island’s Future – a demand-driven workforce intermediary that has helped close the opportunity gap for tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders and who have helped the unemployed and underemployed get back to work.

Possessing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (with an Industrial and Organizational focus) from The Ohio State University and post-baccalaureate studies in I/O Psychology and Business at the University of Akron, Kent State, and Indiana University.
