Evergold Corp CEO Kevin Keough joined Steve Darling from Proactive to to announce the completion of the company's inaugural drilling program at the DEM prospect located in central British Columbia.
The project, which was completed both on time and within budget, involved drilling a total of 947 meters across three holes, emanating from two separate pads that were situated 350 meters apart.
Keough described the geological findings from the drilling. Each hole encountered variably calcareous, fine-grained sedimentary rocks. These rocks were significantly permeated with cross-cutting sulphide-bearing veinlets and veins over core lengths of up to 20 meters, some of which were of semi-massive to massive nature.
The drilling also revealed zones with disseminated sulphides. Moreover, these mineralized intervals were part of larger halos of lower-intensity mineralization characterized by disseminated sulphides and additional sulphide-bearing veinlets and veins.
Currently, the process of core cutting and sampling is in progress, which will be followed by assaying.
The results from these laboratory analyses are eagerly awaited and are expected to be available early in the new year, which will provide further insights into the mineral potential of the DEM prospect.
