Empowering Black Female Creators and Consumers – The She Is Royal Story

She Is Royal LLC, founded by Tewana Passmore, is an innovative e-commerce marketplace dedicated to empowering Black women. It supports minority-owned businesses, offering tools for success and a platform for products made by and for the Black community.

United States, 15th Dec 2023 – When Tewana Passmore started She Is Royal LLC, she had a big idea. She wanted to make an online store just for Black women. She knew that businesses owned by minorities often struggle, lasting only about eighteen months. Tewana, being an African-American woman herself, wanted to find products made by people just like her. This need led her to create She Is Royal. Here, Black women can find and sell items made especially for their community.

Empowering Black Female Creators and Consumers - The She Is Royal Story

She Is Royal isn’t just another online store. It’s a place that helps Black women both make and buy products. The company helps business owners in every way, from starting up their business to selling and marketing their products. The main goal isn’t just to make the marketplace successful, but to help every owner of a minority business do well. She Is Royal is more than just a business; it’s a way to celebrate the bravery, strength, and importance of Black women. Tewana herself has faced unfair treatment and violence because of her race and gender. Sadly, this is common for Black women in America. She Is Royal is her way of fighting against this unfairness. Tewana worked hard to leave her difficult childhood in Southside Chicago. Now, she wants to give other Black women the chance to succeed too.

She Is Royal helps its business owners in many ways. The company has low costs for starting businesses and supports a strong community. They don’t charge fees to their first business owners and take only a 6% commission on sales. They also teach these owners about online marketing and connect them with famous people on social media to promote their products. She Is Royal is committed to making sure all their business owners can grow and keep their businesses strong.

While Tewana first focused on helping Black women who own businesses, She Is Royal is planning to grow. Next year, they will start He Is Royal and Little Royalty to celebrate the entire Black family. The company also wants to start She Is Royal for a Cause. This will be a part of the store where people can buy things to support different charities each month, like AIDS research and breast cancer research for women of color.

With She Is Royal, Tewana Passmore has created a special online space for people of color. They can trust the products and the people selling them. The store puts a big focus on the unique culture and identity of Black people. This is seen in the products they sell and the people they help. The marketplace helps people feel confident and proud while keeping a strong cultural identity. The She Is Royal community is helping Black-owned businesses do well and helping Black women succeed by giving them the products they need to be their best.
